Mr. Chico commanded Sales and Programming strategies at IPTV Americas where he planned, directed and negotiated the acquisition of content such as Pay TV, PPV, and VOD channels for the Latin American and US Hispanic markets. Additionally, he managed the development, sales and distribution strategies of IPTV Americas technology and programming to telecommunication companies (telcos) in Latin America that want to offer Pay TV as part of their triple play offering, to CATV companies that want to offer IPTV services, and created content distribution strategies with major Internet portals as well as ISPs, wireless and mobile carriers.

 
 

EXPERIENCE

Prior to MCM, Mr. Chico served as Director of Sales for Discovery Channels Latin America/Iberia where he managed the sales and distribution of the company’s programming to the free and pay TV markets in the region. He was an integral part of the original executive team that developed, launched and penetrated the Latin American/Iberia marketplace with new channels (Discovery Kids, Animal Planet, People & Arts, Discovery Health, and Travel & Adventure) achieving sales of over $20 million. In addition, Mr. Chico was actively involved in trade forums and advisories regarding Piracy issues in the region.

Mr. Chico also acted as Vice President of Sales at Casa Lee, Inc. of Puerto Rico, a diversified company where he was responsible for the banking, government and telecommunication industries in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean increasing profits over 50%.
